
[05/12/2016] The Island of Dominica is known to be a heaven for hikers. Sadly we did not have much time again, but we still managed to reach the Boiling Lake, the second biggest natural hot pool in the world! You also get a chance to see our beloved captain Marlen for the first time on camera 🙂

[04/12/2016] In this episode we were hitch hiking right into the luxury resort Sugar Beach, perched in between the big and small Pitons. Those two amazing shaped mountains rising out of the ocean made Saint Lucia my favorite Caribbean Island!

[27/11/2016] It was finally start to sail off! Together with Bo, who contacted my via my blog, we would spend the next 1-3 weeks with an ex US Marine Colonel and his Morris M46 Yacht. Leaving Grenada behind, we enjoyed a first smooth sail in best weather and arrived in Union Island, the first out of many Islands belonging to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

[23/11/2016] I had some time to kill on Grenada while waiting for the yacht to be repaired and which would hopefully take me all the way to the Dominican Republic. The hikes to Mt. Qua Qua & the Seven Sisters Waterfall were nice, but the highlight was certainly the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park!

[17/11/2016] Finally made it to the Caribbean! Had a really interesting “tour guide” at the La Brea Pitch Lake, a nice boat tour through the Caroni Swamp including snakes, alligators and thousands of birds and then listened to a wunderbar serenade at Maracas Bay.

Golden and nearby Garden of the Gods had been my last stop in Colorado and the United States in general before crossing over to Colombia. Next to seeing some more beautiful red rock landscapes, I even had a few minutes of Bouldering at night!

The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado was pretty high on my list due to its unique combination of dunes and mountains. Joined by a local CS and her dog, we spent a freezing cold night high up in the sand.

On my way from Utah to Colorado, I was battling a T-Rex in the Dominguez Canyon, staying with 86 year old former racer “Crazy Joe” after a prison ruined my hitch hiking plans and ultimately receiving a lesson about Colorado History in the Escalante Canyon the next day!
