📅 September 2016 ▶️ The Wonderland Trail is a 93 miles or 150 km long trek encircling 14,411 ft (4,392 m) high Mount Rainier, one of the 16 active Decade Volcanoes which could cause massive damage if they erupt. Luckily, no signs of eruptions as of the recent history and I had a chance to explore the beautiful landscapes on and around Rainier! Have you ever done this hike before? 🙃
📅 May 2015 ▶️ In this episode of my weekly Travel Show on Twitch, I swhoed off my number one favorite waterfall in the world: The amazing Iguazu Falls! Exploring both the Brazil and Argentina side of the falls in two full days, I wanted to show you why these are my favorite waterfall system in the world. Let me know which is your favorite waterfall?
📅 June 2012 ▶️ In my effort of catching up with old trips before working on my new 4K material, I am now presenting you my very first trip to Tanzania in East Africa – nearly 10 years ago! Unfortunately, I had to remove the music from the original video and replace it with some new, so some original sound effects have been lost sadly. Hopefully you will still like the footage from both the world famous Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater!
📅 October 2018 ▶️ Exploring the ancient nabatean ruins of Petra in Jordan has been an amazing expierence as it combines beautiful landscapes with over 2000 year old history. We even met some archaeologists at our Couchsurfing place and were able to enter the active excavation site of Qasr al-Bint! Check out this video for my top 3 spots you should not miss: the Treasury, the Monastery and Qasr al-Bint!
📅 December 2016 ▶️ It is rare to find secluded beaches that also take your breath away at the same time. Bahia de Las Aguilas Beach in the Dominican Republic was one of those, it required a combination of hitch hiking and walking to reach as there is no direct road access. The reward was having an absolutely gorgeous beach just for ourselves and stay the night with an amazing sunset! 😃
Ever wondered about the cost of full time travel and how to track your travel expenses? All details can be found here as well in text and graphic form!
📅 June 2016 ▶️ Lesotho is certainly one of the lesser visited countries in Southern Africa, but it does boost a few very cool spots! The best waterfall in Lesotho is probably Semonkong’s Maletsunyane Falls. The water plunges down 192m from a plateau, presenting some very beautiful landscapes sights from the viewpoint.
📅 November 2014 ▶️ The Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico is filled with amazing places to visit. If you like diving, you might even want to check out some of the mindblowing diving options from cenote to cenote. I have only done the snorkeling option, but even that was already super nice! Add a bunch of old Mayan temples, and you’ve got yourself a great little holiday 😄
📅 March 2017 ▶️ Myanmar has been the one country in South East Asia which surprised me the most. It is a very different expierence to the other countries in the area and offers a lot of cool caves and temples to explore. Hitch hiking was super easy as well and based on my travel expense stats, it is also the cheapest country I have visited with 2,65€ average costs on food per day!
Africa is famous for it’s famous safari destinations and the Okavango Delta is certainly no unfamiliar name for the seasoned traveler. And I have to admit, experiencing the Botswana Elephant Safari on a traditional mokoro canoe was absolutely amazing! After a slow start, we eventually made it super close to the gentle giants.. 🐘
