The east of Canada is filled with natural beauty, some rarely visited hikes and unexpected natural wonders. Starting in Newfoundland, i made my way into Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Locations in this Travel Show video include the Berry Head Arch, Cape Spear, Signal Hill, St John’s, St Johns, Sugarloaf Path, Deer Lake, Gros Morne, Gros Morne National Park, Gros Morne Western Brook Pond, Corner Brook and the Bay of Fundy with its 16m tidal difference – a world record!
In this video, I am taking you back to my trip to North Colombia during February 2015, showcasing some of my Colombia Travel Highlights. Starting off with diving in Capurganá and exploring the beautiful architecture of Cartagena, I was making my way to the Santa Marta area. Based there, I visited Minca up in the mountains, breathtaking Playa Arrecife in Tayrona National Park, Palomino beach and last but not least, the lost city Ciudad Perdida including some highly poisonous snakes.
Palawan island in the Philippines is known for its many beautiful locations featuring impressing karst cliffs rising out of the ocean. El Nido is one of the more popular tourist spots and this short video will show you why. Tour A to Miniloc Island provided some stunning views, even though I would certainly have enjoyed it more with a bit less people around 🙃
Guatemala is full of aweome volcanoes to check out. In this trip from November 2014, I have explored Volcan Santa Maria before heading over to climb 3,976 m high Volcan Acatenango, offering the best night views from the tent to super active Volcán de Fuego. Certainly one of my travel highlights!
The New Year celebration in Laos is much different to what you might expect. Celebrated during the hottest time of the year in the country during April, it marks the start of the rainy monsoon season and with that the much needed moisture for the ground. People celebrate by jugging a lot of water on top of you as well as handing you a beer 🙂 Oh and I also checked out the huge Kong Lor Cave!
In one of my very first journeys back in 2012, I climbed up Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. The Lemosho Route is the longest and most diverse of all options to roof of Africa at 5895m. Hopefully you dont mind the oldschool 4:3 aspect ratio in this one 😉
Being asked about some of my favorite USA National Park Highlights, I would probably say Zion National Park & Bryce National Park. They are very different and not too far from each other, making it possible to visit them together in one trip. Check this video to find out which one I liked more 🙂 This video is from 2016, slowly catching up with some of my older material!
I decided to take the Arctic Circle Trail Hike in Greenland as one of my topics of the travel show because the original full-length video has sadly been messed up a lot due to copyright protected music and the fact that I sadly do not have the raw material anymore to simply recut the video. Hopefully you like the photos I am sharing here from the 160km long backcountry trek in Greenland.
Hello and welcome to the last video from my Greece Crete Island Highlights during my time there in November 2020. As a follow up from last week’s video, my hike continued from Karoumes Beach along the coast line to the rather disappointing Pelekita Cave before making my way on top of the amazing Zakros Gorge! As usual, I run out of time and have to figure out a way to get back “home” 😱 Hope you like this last part, I will certainly come back to Crete Island again to explore the South and West coast!
In part two of this final series of my Greece Crete East Coast Highlights, I will take you through the Karoumes Gorge and end up in Karoumes Beach, a remote and secluded beach which can only be reached on foot! It actually was so amazing there that I decided to go skinny dipping and swim naked in the ocean, being fullfilled with joy in the moment. You should see how happy I was in the video, I am still smiling now while thinking back to that moment on the beach! 🙃
