Only three videos are left from my greece crete series, covering my last day on November 28th. Be amazed by the beauty of Itanos Beach as well as the famous Palm Tree Forest of Vai on my trip to the eastern end of crete island in greece. The next part will follow on Thursday!
After having booked my flight back to Germany from Sitia airport, I was finally able to move from the Heraklion area towards the east. On the way, I stopped at the beautiful Agios Nikolaos town before ending up in Sitia, two of the best cities in greece. Sitia served as my base for the final three days on Crete Island and a gateway to explore the remote eastern coast, which even in summer is not overcrowded. Hope you like this upbeat episode full of sunshine and good vibes 🙃
After a few bad weather days stuck in the apartment near Malia on Crete Island in Greece, I finally ventured out again to explore the water filled Aposelemis Gorge and the super huge and very dark Skotino Cave. Make sure to stick around to the end to see the cave, I was really happy with the music I could find from Googles Audio Library to support the spooky atmosphere 😱
Based on my last videos, you might think that I am going on a hike every day – but thats actually not the case 🙂 Staying a full month in greece, most of the time in a day during lockdown looks similar to what you can see in this video. I am just not sadly going for a swim and run everyday, but the waking up to mosquito bites, breakfast and editing is certainly part of the day-to-day here! 😉
Its time to brighten up the mood in my greece videos! After the rather emotional aftermath of the malia floodings, I can now present you a video with a much more happy mood. This is the first part of my Malia hiking adventure, covering Krasion and its beautiful plane tree, the pretty Keras Kardiotissas Monastery and lastly, the breathtaking Roza Gorge viewpoint! I am planning to finish up the second part of this video for Sunday, covering the Karfi Peak & Lasithi Plateau. Hope you enjoy those 🙃

The third part of my live greece videos covers the aftermath of the floodings from November 10th. A bunch of stuff has been washed down to the beach, including trash containers and even a couch! I have explored the entire coast line on my daily exercise run to 7km distant Sisi village, which turned out to be pretty untouched from the floods and is actually a really cute pretty little village!
The second part of my greece trip is taken you back to last week on November 10th, the day most of the northern part of crete island was hit by torrential rains and thunderstrikes, resulting in massive floods. Waking up in a room full with water is certainly unpleasent, especially if both the heating and hot water is not working. But that situation is nothing compared to countless locals who have lost property or homes, some cars even got washed into the ocean! These are my first Impressions from the Flooding on Crete Island. The next episode will cover more of the aftermath, look out for that video on Sunday!
Welcome to my new “Travel With Me” section in which I will provide near-live videos from my current location! I have arrived in Greece about one and a half week ago and while struggling with the WiFi connections here, I finally got this first Part uploaded. The short video covers my first Impressions from sunny Herakion, the capital of crete island, as well as the first day in grey and cloudy Malia, just before big torrential rains came in and resulting in a huge flooding! I will cover that topic in detail in the second part and plan to upload it on Thursday – so keep an eye out for it 😁
The active Volcan Telica in Nicaragua looks absolutely perfect when you approach it from a hike starting in Leon city. I have spent a night there to look down into the crater and see the red lava, followed up by a fun day nearby doing Volcano Boarding on Cerro Negro. Hopefully you like this snapshot from my weekly travel show! 😀
