📅 June 2016 ▶️ Lesotho is certainly one of the lesser visited countries in Southern Africa, but it does boost a few very cool spots! The best waterfall in Lesotho is probably Semonkong’s Maletsunyane Falls. The water plunges down 192m from a plateau, presenting some very beautiful landscapes sights from the viewpoint.
📅 November 2014 ▶️ The Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico is filled with amazing places to visit. If you like diving, you might even want to check out some of the mindblowing diving options from cenote to cenote. I have only done the snorkeling option, but even that was already super nice! Add a bunch of old Mayan temples, and you’ve got yourself a great little holiday 😄
📅 March 2017 ▶️ Myanmar has been the one country in South East Asia which surprised me the most. It is a very different expierence to the other countries in the area and offers a lot of cool caves and temples to explore. Hitch hiking was super easy as well and based on my travel expense stats, it is also the cheapest country I have visited with 2,65€ average costs on food per day!
Africa is famous for it’s famous safari destinations and the Okavango Delta is certainly no unfamiliar name for the seasoned traveler. And I have to admit, experiencing the Botswana Elephant Safari on a traditional mokoro canoe was absolutely amazing! After a slow start, we eventually made it super close to the gentle giants.. 🐘
The east of Canada is filled with natural beauty, some rarely visited hikes and unexpected natural wonders. Starting in Newfoundland, i made my way into Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Locations in this Travel Show video include the Berry Head Arch, Cape Spear, Signal Hill, St John’s, St Johns, Sugarloaf Path, Deer Lake, Gros Morne, Gros Morne National Park, Gros Morne Western Brook Pond, Corner Brook and the Bay of Fundy with its 16m tidal difference – a world record!
In this video, I am taking you back to my trip to North Colombia during February 2015, showcasing some of my Colombia Travel Highlights. Starting off with diving in Capurganá and exploring the beautiful architecture of Cartagena, I was making my way to the Santa Marta area. Based there, I visited Minca up in the mountains, breathtaking Playa Arrecife in Tayrona National Park, Palomino beach and last but not least, the lost city Ciudad Perdida including some highly poisonous snakes.
Palawan island in the Philippines is known for its many beautiful locations featuring impressing karst cliffs rising out of the ocean. El Nido is one of the more popular tourist spots and this short video will show you why. Tour A to Miniloc Island provided some stunning views, even though I would certainly have enjoyed it more with a bit less people around 🙃
Guatemala is full of aweome volcanoes to check out. In this trip from November 2014, I have explored Volcan Santa Maria before heading over to climb 3,976 m high Volcan Acatenango, offering the best night views from the tent to super active Volcán de Fuego. Certainly one of my travel highlights!
I have tested the four season winter tent “Trekkertent Saor” in the lightweight 0.8 oz DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric) flysheet version, weighing in at 1180 grams (41 oz). It features a silpoly PU4000 floor and is a freestanding tent, making it a great choice to use in all sorts of terrains. Overall I really like the tent, despite same hassles in the set up and the high price of around 700€. Check out the video for all the details and some impressions from a test setup in the snowy winterlandscapes in Germany!
