📅 July 21st, 2021 ▶️ Escaping from the Dixie fire in the last episode, I decide to take the Coast Starlight Train from Klamath Falls directly to Seattle. The usually 11 hour long ride is delayed by a few hours, but in return we get free food 😆I hitch hike to Snoqualmie Pass to get back on the Pacific Crest Trail again, my first miles of Washington Section J await me in beautiful summer weather! Entering the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, I get a first feel for the famous Washington Northern Cascades. Beautiful green forest and mountain landscapes quickly turn into some of the best landscapes I have seen on the PCT so far. Everything is much steeper here compared to the Sierra and it looks more dramatic. Looking back to Joe Lake, I am in awe of the breath taking views back to Mount Rainier. My 33rd day on the PCT ends with a bit of snow and 934km (577.5miles) walked in total so far. Getting very close to my 1000km goal!
